Nickelodeon and ViacomCBS Consumer Products are teaming up with UK event company PROSPECT 100 to launch the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Global Design Competition. The contest is open to creators ages 16 to 25, and in addition to a US$7,000 cash prize, the winner’s original artwork will be featured on an official range of TMNT merchandise that’s set to launch globally on Amazon in August.

The competition is focused on transformation—a central theme of the Ninja Turtles brand—and participants are asked to submit art that is true to their own personality and that represents the property in a unique style. It’s free to enter online, and the deadline is July 8. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel that includes TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman.

This partnership with PROSPECT 100 comes as Nickelodeon continues to evolve the TMNT brand. Last year, it inked an agreement with Canadian indie prodco Point Grey Pictures to co-produce a new CG-animated movie based on the property. And Nick has also collaborated with Netflix on a film project inspired by the 2D-animated series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
