As the media conglom continues to focus on streaming, ViacomCBS is giving its global content leaders—including kids and family chief Brian Robbins—oversight of their respective genres at Paramount+.

In his newly expanded role, Robbins will also serve as chief content officer for kids and family programming at the burgeoning SVOD. He’s tasked with growing its portfolio of live-action and animated content for kids and family viewers, including series and movies that span originals and franchise extensions.

Robbins, who joined Nickelodeon as president in 2018, gained oversight of kids and family entertainment for ViacomCBS Domestic Media Networks in 2019 ahead of the companies’ December merger. He will continue to report to ViacomCBS president and CEO Bob Bakish.

ViacomCBS has also upped MTV exec Tanya Giles to chief programming officer for streaming. This new position is a centralized programming role designed to amp up the global content strategy for Paramount+ and Pluto TV. Other content leaders now adding Paramout+ duties to their portfolios include Paramount Pictures CEO Jim Gianopulos and Bruce Gillmer, ViacomCBS president of music, music talent, programming and events.

Paramount+ launched on March 4 in the US, Canada and Latin America with a catalogue of more than 30,000 episodes, 2,500 movies and 1,000 live sporting events.
