Kid shows focused on social issues were the big winners at this weekend’s live-streamed events for the 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Sesame Workshop’s The Power of We: A Sesame Street Special (pictured), about standing up to racism, won two awards, including Outstanding Preschool, Children’s or Family Viewing Program. Lupita Nyong’o won an acting award for Netflix’s Bookmarks: Celebrating Black Voices, and Here TV’s Girl’s Voices Now took home the Outstanding Short Form Children’s Program trophy. PBS KIDS Talk About won for Outstanding Educational and Informational Series, and Apple TV+’s eco-focused Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth picked up the award for Outstanding Special Class Daytime Animated Program.

Netflix, which received 56 nominations for its kids programming, walked away with 12 trophies, the most of any broadcaster or platform in the kids space. The SVOD’s animated series Go! Go! Cory Carson was one of the most awarded shows, winning three times, while Hilda won twice.

The streamer’s live-action shows also did well, with Sophie Grace from The Baby-Sitters Club winning Outstanding Younger Performer in a Children’s Program, and Jace Chapman winning the Outstanding Principal Performance in A Children’s Program award for The Healing Powers of Dude. 

Hulu’s Animaniacs took home four trophies—the most wins for any single show—including Outstanding Voice Directing for a Daytime Animated Series and Outstanding Original Song for a Preschool, Children’s or Animated Program.
