British edutainment company Sandbox & Co. is continuing its growth spree with the acquisition of Spanish tech companies Edujoy and Tellmewow for an undisclosed amount.

Edujoy makes educational videos for kids up to age eight. Its titles, which include Baby Playground—First Words and Kid-E-Cats Educational Games (pictured), have been downloaded more than 500 million times globally, according to Sandbox. Edujoy sister company Tellmewow makes puzzle titles for kids and adults, such as Hangman—Guess Words and Pastimes.

Co-founders Urtzi Jaureguibeitia and Isabel Liébana will continue to lead the two gaming companies, but they now report to Sandbox Gaming president Abhi Arya.

Edujoy and Tellmewow are joining a crowded portfolio of kid-focused assets at Sandbox. The company  acquired preschool streaming service Curious World in 2018, followed by preschool streamer Hopster, digital content provider Fingerprint and kids streamer Kidomi. And earlier this year, it launched a dedicated kids unit to oversee all of these divisions for the under-12 set.

All together, Sandbox Kids now boasts more than 8,000 videos, games, interactive books, songs and pieces of audio content, and is available in more than 100 countries, according to the company.
